SAP Concur is transitioning Delivery & Collection car rental services bookings to be consolidated exclusively into our Car Connector platform.
Overview
SAP Concur is updating how Car Delivery & Collection (D&C) car rental services are fulfilled within Concur Travel. D&C bookings are moving from GDS to the Car Connector platform - an aggregator that provides direct-connect car rental content across eligible markets. This transition brings a more consistent, reliable, and streamlined booking experience to all customers, regardless of their GDS provider.
What is changing?
Car Delivery & Collection bookings are transitioning from GDS fulfillment to Car Connector, and all customers will be able to book D&C via Car Connector.
The Select Access fee will be waived for Delivery and Collection bookings made via Car Connector and no additional charge will take place for these bookings.
For all other (non-D&C) car bookings through Car Connector, the standard Select Access fee of $1 per transaction continues to apply.
Standard (non-D&C) car rental bookings continue to route through the GDS or Car Connector as configured today, this change applies to Delivery and Collection services only.
The following suppliers are already supported, or will soon been supported via Car Connector:
- Hertz (fully supported)
- Sixt (fully supported)
- Avis (coming soon)
Why is this change occurring?
Moving D&C bookings to Car Connector gives all customers - regardless of their GDS - equal access to D&C services, and leverages the expanded capabilities of the Car Connector platform.
Timelines
- November release: Car Connector becomes available for D&C bookings for all customers, with the Select Access fee waived for D&C-only bookings. Configuration steps will be detailed in the November release notes.
- Future phases: Additional updates are planned to further streamline D&C migration. Details will be communicated as they become available.
