Setting up 2 Factor with only one device

I assist our independent contractors with setting up their Concur accounts. Some of them have limited access to multiple devices and rely solely on their smartphones.

How can we help them set up two-factor authentication (2FA) in this situation? We’ve attempted using the manual setup key, which works initially, but when they switch from the Microsoft Authenticator app back to the Concur screen, the six-digit code does not work.

@k8heart I know for iPhone users they can use Face ID to bypass the need for 2FA if they are using the mobile app. If they are using a web browser on their smartphone, they can skip 2FA by using the Sign in with an Email Link option on the SAP Concur Sign in screen. After they enter their username and click Next, they would see two buttons. The second button allows for them to be sent an email with a link that will sign them in. 

I would recommend seeing if your company has this option turned on. If not, it is super easy to turn on and will make it much easier for the contractors and will alleviate the need to set up 2FA. You can test it by simply opening a browser and going to: www.concursolutions.com. Enter your username then click Next. On the next screen you would see the button I described above. If you don't see it, then you would need to ask your site admin to turn it on. I think this might be turned on by default, but you can easily check.
