Segments: Why?

My org has been using segments with Concur Request since 2018, but we don't really have any use for it. We haven't ran reports or anything using segments, and it seems they only confuse our users when completing travel requests. Does anyone know of any good reasons for using segments as part of your travel request system?

@JCA784 I don't have any good reasons for using Travel Segments, but I know that they can be turned off if it is causing confusion.
