Problems with the new AI Receipt Processing

How does everyone feel about the new AI receipt processing that was recently implemented?

I dislike that AI is not functioning properly. When I forward my email receipt that is sent to me by a major vendor (they do not send a PDF version of the receipt as an attachment), Concur's receipt AI implementation mangles the email so much that I can no longer simply forward the receipt email to receipts@concur.com.

I now have to manually print out the email into PDF and then manually upload it. The previous way worked fine before this change.

@crystalreports is the major vendor sending an email with the pdf embedded? I'm not clear on what format the receipt is in if it isn't an attachment.

Are you saying that although the email doesn't have a pdf attachment you were able to forward the email to receipts@concur.com and have no issue?

@KevinD, the receipt is just the content of the email with no attachments. Although not exactly the same because there are no product images in this particular vendor's emails, it would be something similar to receipt emails sent by Amazon or ebay. Just a few months ago, I could simply forward these receipts that are emails to receipts@concur.com. Now, the email contents are shifted around once they get to Concur and can no longer be readable by processors.

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

@crystalreports have you submitted a Help ticket to Concur Support to see if they can provide some information regarding this?

A few years back we got rid of the ability for Concur employees to send in receipts to receipts@concur.com, so I don't use the option. What I would do is screenshot the email so it will then be in a format that is either png or jpeg. Then I would simply attach that. I know it seems like an extra step, but it ends up being faster because it is more reliable. 🙂
