Employee import error

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some guidance regarding two errors that recently appeared in our employee import. They are:

1. The statement report approver specified for an employee does not have the Statement Approver role.
In this case, the approver ID assigned in the import exists in our system but Concur indicates that this user does not have the required Statement Approver role.
Has anyone encountered this before? Is the solution simply to assign the Statement Approver role manually in the user’s profile, or should this be corrected directly in the import file?

2. Employee not found; Employee ID: XXXXX.

From my understanding, this happens when someone referenced in the import file does not exist in Concur. In our setup, we do not provide Concur access to all employees', only selected employees have profiles in the system.

Because of that, I believe this error appears simply due to the fact that the referenced employee does not have a Concur account. If this is correct and the employee is not supposed to have access to Concur, can we safely ignore the error and remove them from the import file?

If anyone has experience with these two errors or suggestions on best practices to prevent them in future imports, I would really appreciate your advice.

Thank you!

@Polin4 I don't recall which import template it is, but I believe one of them allows you to mass assign roles. You could run that import to assign the statement approvers, then do the other import. I believe that should clear up that error.

@Polin4 answer to your first question is either option you suggest would work. Assign the role manually, then try the import again. Adjust the import file, then do the import again.

Answer to your second question, do exactly what you wrote. Remove person from file. The error does mean that person does not have a Concur profile.

Thank you very much for the answer.  Is there anything we can do to avoid having the first error with assigning the Statement Approver role?
