Concur Certification

Hi Team,

I got  certification at level Certified Professional - Expense Configuration in 2021 in previous employer. And recently I noticed Concur Customer Certifications program was retired in Jan 2024 and only SAP Concur Partner Certification Program is available now.  Can anyone help clarify the following: 

1) Is my certification valid?  Can I use it in other employer? 

2) Is there a way to view the certification online? 

3) Can I get the unrestricted access for other client who are using Concur acting as an employee? 

4) If my current company is CIP and I got the certification under Customer Certification Program, does it mean I was certificated under CIP without attend additional exam?  Can I implement Concur for client as service partner?

@miaoying the certification you had in 2021, was it from the Advanced Configuration training? If not, then the certification doesn't follow you. Having said that, it would answer your second question about viewing it online.

I don't know what you mean by your third question. I'm not sure what "acting as an employee" means, exactly. 

I believe if you work for a CIP, then you should be certified to implement your company's customers. I don't know what our partners do to get their employees proficient at implementations, but I don't believe you have to take training from SAP Concur if you work for a CIP.

Thanks for your update. 

I worked for Concur Products since 2017 and then 2021 I was to told to register a Concur exam and then got the certification without additional training. I am not sure if it from the Advanced Configuration training.

For the last question, do you mean if I was employed by a CIP with related experience, I could get the unrestricted access to implement Concur for my company's customers?

@miaoying I sent you a private message here on the community about your email and certification.

As for the CIP question, if you work for a CIP, my understanding is that you would be able to implement for customers. Now, what I don't know is how your company would ensure your qualifications to implement or how they decide on who at the company does implementations.

I have cleared CIP exam on 16th March 2025.

1) Is my certification valid?  Can I use it in other employer? It is valid, but will not follow you if you leave your company. I'm not sure if it is different for those getting certified from working for a CIP, but it is likely you would need to do the certification again if you change companies. I am not 100% sure on this, but someone at your company should know.

2) Is there a way to view the certification online? I don't know. I'm not sure we track individuals who work for CIPs. 

3) Can I get the unrestricted access for other client who are using Concur acting as an employee? Since your company is a CIP, you should get unrestricted access to any of your customers that you get assigned to do an implementation. 

4) If my current company is CIP and I got the certification under Customer Certification Program, does it mean I was certificated under CIP without attend additional exam?  Can I implement Concur for client as service partner? Yes, you should be able to do implementations now.
