Unable to Select a Seat


The last several times I have tried to book a flight, the system does not allow me to select a seat. I keep getting the message that the seating cannot be displayed.  Why am I having this issue?

@DavSal I've also had this issue and I have never figured out why this happens occasionally. I know this isn't much help to you. I'm going to post this in our Travel Slack channel to see if someone can give me an explanation. The workaround, as you probably know, is to make the reservation then use the airline app or website to select.

@KevinD I have just placed a reservation. At that time I was able to select the seats for my outgoing flight. Later on, for some reason that seat was not assigned anymore.
And going through the airline site, I can reserve the seat but at an extra cost.
So apparently that workaround may not be always available.
