TripIt

Hello,

Can someone tell me how TripIt helps with duty of care risk by providing the company visibility into business travel details. For example, I book a hotel outside of my normal booking channels (i.e., Concur travel or directly with my TMC) because I need to book the hotel through the conference to get the discounted hotel rate. I forward my hotel itinerary to TripIt. How does my company or duty of care provider (i.e., WorldAware) know that I just added a hotel from a duty of care risk?

Hello @nolan1111, I do not know the exact details of your current setup, but this is how it can possibly work:

Concur is linked to TripIt

WorldAware is linked to Concur

So, when you forward your hotel booking that was made outside of Concur to TripIt, Concur will then have this information as well, as long as you allow it.  Once Concur has it, WorldAware will have it because they can be linked.

Great question @nolan1111!

Once travel plans are in TripIt, you can toggle the trip to Share with SAP Concur. Then, the trip will be created in Concur Travel and a line item will be created in Concur Expense (this is all via Concur TripLink). Then via Concur TripLink API connections, the trip details will be shared with your Duty of Care provider (including World Aware, International SOS, Healix, Crisis24, etc.).

How long does it take for a Tripit trip to sync to my Concur account?

Hi @michaeljulian66,

It only takes moments for a TripIt trip to sync with your SAP Concur account. Usually less than 15 seconds! 😊
