Post Ticket Exchanges - GDS/SABRE functionality

In our old system (Deem/Rearden), we had automated exchanges turned on. Back then, I think we had been a pilot program for it. When we converted to Concur 6+ years ago we didn't turn on the post ticketing exchanges, because we were taking baby steps. We do allow Southwest changes (direct connect) and have no issue with this. I am curious if people have turned on the post ticketing exchange functionality for GDS airlines and what consequences/negatives/quirks/problems they've found - or maybe it's all going swimmingly. 


We use SABRE and this is for ticketing / exchanges in the USA only. In our case, we are a CTD and in-source all functions and we use Compleat for our mid office.
