Messed up travel request-flights

I created a travel request for a faculty member that has already been approved, but I have the travel dates set for this past January, when it should be March. I used the request ID from the bad request to book a flight for March (correct dates). I now need to create a new request for her trip so that I have the correct dates, but am wondering if I can keep that same flight? Will it mess up her expense reports when she comes back? Is there a way to connect that flight to the new travel request I create? I am trying to avoid cancelling and repurchasing a new flight. Thanks in advance!

@ereitzmann I take it the "bad" request has been fully approved? A site admin might be able to reopen the Travel Request to make it editable. 

If you give me the Request ID number, I can take a look to see if it can be reopened. 

I know your post is a week old, so maybe you already resolved the issue.
