IcelandAir issue

I booked a multi-city trip for myself - on Icelandair as one leg does not have a US carrier. When I went back on to book the identical trip for a grad student the Icelandair flights no longer appear - only flights that are wildly more expensive and that fly through distant transfer cities. Any ideas as to the issue?

@GeorgeHambrecht it is hard to pinpoint the issue. My guess is you tried booking for the grad student right after you booked your own trip. If not, it is possible the flights sold out, but probably not likely.

I would suggest calling your organization's travel agency to see if they can see the Iceland Air flights.
