Canceled Trip, But Flight Still Active

Question for the team here. Today, I had to cancel a trip to Atlanta. My flight and hotel booking began tomorrow. I selected "cancel trip" on Concur, and got a notice that my inquiry had been sent to the travel agent to cancel. Since then, I got an email confirming that  my hotel was cancelled, but that  my flight is still active. 

 

I wanted to make sure I've done everything I need to do to also cancel my flight. Does that just take longer to do? Or is there a separate step I need to take to cancel that flight?

 

I appreciate the help with this question in advance!

@davmarek In the future, I would contact your travel agency to make sure the flight was canceled. I don't know if airlines have time constraints on canceling flights, however since it is being canceled through Concur Travel and not directly with the airline, it could be a bit delayed. 

 

Calling your travel agency is the safest option. 🙂
