Booking air and hotel in one reservation

What is the advantage of booking air and hotel in the same reservation for business?

Could be a number of things. For one, do you use a TMC? If so, you could be paying a "booking" fee for each PNR created. Grouping your air/car/hotel in one reservation makes it one transaction instead of 2 or 3.

For me, it's just easier to have all travel for the same trip in the same reservation. Easier for the traveler and easier for the travel manager from a duty of care perspective. I'm sure there are other benefits, just a couple that came to mind for me.
