Personal Trip Booked Outside Concur Showing Up on Company Out of Policy (Exceptions) Report

Does anyone know why a Personal Trip Booked Outside Concur would be showing up on The Company Exceptions Report?

Does your company use TripLink or TripIt? Did the employee forward their itinerary to any SAP Concur option? We need a little more information to be able to answer your question accurately.

Thank you,

Kevin

The company does use Tripit, but the empoyee states he booked it direct through the hotel and used his own personal card to reserve it.

Hmmm...that shouldn't happen, so either it is a strange anamoly or we aren't getting all of the information from the employee. Does the company also use TripLink (not TripIt)? This would be helpful to know.

The employee was on a hotel site, booked direct and used their personal card. No TripIt or TripLink was used. The only common denominator is their personal rewards number is both in Concur and was used booking the hotel.  Our company does have TripLink as part of our services from Concur however. Does TripLink pick up personal travel also?

Hi,

Was there ever a resolution for why this would occur? I just had an employee book a hotel direct through IHG and used her personal card yet the intinerary pulled into her personal travel library in Concur.

If you are using TripLink, then it doesn't matter what card was used. What is taken into account is the rewards number being associated to an SAP Concur profile. That is what causes the booking to show up in SAP Concur.

Most likely what happened is that the hotel booked is one of our Direct Suppliers. When an employee logs into that Hotel website it does recognize the rewards number is associated to a Concur profile, so it will automatically send the itinerary to SAP Concur.
