Working while in another country

What is the policy on working from another country for a short period of time?

For instance, I want to visit family in El Salvador. I can go for vacation but could I also just work there for a week since it's basically the same time zone? Do I just need a wifi connection?

@Kayris06 you will need to ask your manager about what your company policy is in regards to working outside the country. We have no way of knowing what your company allows in regards to this situation.
