Unable to select Payment Method for Rental Cars

For the last year, when booking a rental car through concur I had the option to select a payment method (like you do for flights/hotels). Now it just says "payment is not required at this time" and there's nowhere to select a credit card for the transaction. As a result, I'm getting emails from concur that say the following:

Title: CREDIT CARD MISSING – URGENT ACTION REQUIRED

Body:

Dear Business Traveler,

This email is regarding your American Express Global Business Travel reservation:

Booking Reference:
Travel Date:

We have received your online reservation; however, a valid form of payment is missing from the reservation. Please contact American Express Global Business Travel at the number found above to provide a form of payment for this reservation. Should your booking include airline reservations, airfares are not guaranteed until ticketed. American Express Global Business Travel will not be responsible for any fare increase due to a missing form of payment or declined credit card.

To avoid this issue in the future, please log into your online booking tool to review the credit card information in your profile. Please ensure your card information is correct, expiration date is current and ensure you have selected the card as a default for all bookings (air/car/hotel/rail).

I am now having to call amexGBT to add my credit card manually for each rental car booking. All of my credit card info is in concur, I just used it to book a flight and hotel. Not sure why this is happening or how to resolve it.

@jgassmann I did some looking around and I found out there is a setting called "Require credit card for car reservations". If this option is not selected, then your card details are not sent to the vendor and you are not presented with the option to choose a card. I'm not sure why your company opted for this to be off. Maybe it was an oversight. You might suggest to whomever your company's travel admin is that they look into it. If you aren't sure who it is, you could try calling your travel agency to see if they can provide you the person's name.

Thank you,
Kevin
