Triplink

Hi,

I was curious what is the difference or benefit using of using Triplink to book directly with the companies and booking directly in Concur. Our concerns are 1. if booked directly through the airlines using triplink would it go through the same approval process. 2. if there is a problem and we need to make changes for one of our employees would we have the same visibility that we would if they had booked directly through Concur. Thank you

@Twoodrum2025 hello there. I asked these questions internally and here is what I was told. I hope it helps. FYI...I copied and pasted exactly what the person who replied to me typed. 🙂

TripLink bookings are already confirmed and/or ticketed. The bookings bypass the approval process. The handling of these bookings will be determined by the TripLink Travel Rule settings. There are three configurations for TripLink Travel Rules: 'Notify Manager,' 'Log for Reports,' and 'Disabled.'1. Notify Manager - If the rule violation is set to Notify Manager and a user creates a Concur TripLink itinerary that violates a rule set up in the TripLink section of Travel Policy, then the user/arranger will receive an email notification. This email will contain the following information:2. Log for Reports - If the rule violation is set to Log for Reports and a user creates a Concur TripLink itinerary that violates a rule set up in the TripLink section of Travel Policy, then the rule violation will be logged for reporting purposes.3. Disabled - Disables the TripLink rule completely. More information here: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_CONCUR/a9b57e7477884f93947bf0048886505a/9867f26971371014b1b8a2f66f04ca...

Thank you,
