Tips for Managing Expenses Efficiently During International Travel

Hi everyone,

When travelling internationally, one of the biggest challenges I face is keeping track of expenses in different currencies — meals, transport, hotels, and incidental costs quickly add up.

For those who travel frequently, what are your best practices for:

  1. Tracking receipts on the go?
  2. Managing exchange rate fluctuations in reports?
  3. Avoiding small errors that pile up in expense claims?

Would love to hear your time-saving tips or tools you use to stay organized during multi-destination trips.

Thanks in advance!

@shahrukhkhan one thing that I do when I travel is to immediately capture my receipts when I receive them. Whether it be directly in the Concur mobile app or saving it to my phone's camera roll. That way I don't have to worry about misplacing the receipts during travel when I'm going from place to place.

The other thing I do is use a personal credit card that doesn't charge for exchange fees. This allows me to see exactly what amount I was charged and I don't have to worry about doing any exchange rates as the card issuer does that.

Thank you,
Kevin
