Timeline for restoring the "Manually Add" option for hotel and car reservations?

Hello Community,
Could you please advise on when the "Manually add" option for hotel and car reservations will be available again?
As a Travel and Expense Administrator, I can no longer manually enter hotel bookings into employee itineraries. I regularly book accommodations for personnel attending conferences, expos, and training sessions using the provided registration links for event hotel blocks to secure lower rates.
Utilizing this feature is critical for both the traveler and myself, as having all travel details consolidated in one location is essential for tracking and expense audit purposes.
Any updates or insights on when this capability will be restored would be greatly appreciated.

@MelanieOI730 from what I read internally, this feature was sunsetted on September 24, 2026, so it was just done away with. Since it was sunsetted, then it won't be coming back. You could always use our Continuous Influence program to submit that it be reinstated.

In SAP Concur Travel, the removal or unavailability of the “Manually Add” option for hotel and car reservations can affect itineraries booked outside Concur, particularly conference and event hotel blocks.

There is no restoration date I can reliably confirm at this time. Availability may depend on your Concur Travel platform,

recent updates, and company configuration.

In the meantime, consider forwarding external booking confirmations to [email protected], if your organization supports TripIt/Concur itinerary imports. This may help consolidate travel details, but it is not a guaranteed replacement for manual itinerary entry.

SAP's July 2026 release notes describe User Supplied Hotels functionality in the new Concur Travel experience, with a target of Q2 2026. However, this does not confirm that the feature is available in every tenant, and I found no equivalent confirmed restoration date for manual car reservations.

Recommended next steps:

1.  Check whether User Supplied Hotels is enabled in your Concur Travel configuration.

2.  If your organization uses Concur TripLink, check whether Add New Itinerary Manually is available.

3.  Open a SAP Concur Support case requesting confirmation of the feature's availability and restoration timeline for your specific tenant.

Conclusion: The hotel functionality is documented, but the exact restoration timeline for your environment—and for manual car entries—remains unconfirmed.

SAP Concur officially retired the Add New Reservation feature for Concur TripLink on September 23, 2026.

SAP identifies TripLink Partner Synchronization and TripIt as Supported alternatives.

These are more directly supported alternatives than relying on the TMC.

Thank you @samasuraj . Questions on emailing [email protected].

1) Does the email need to be an official confirmation email from the hotel ? We work direct with a few locations so sometimes just receive the confirmation number to quicken the process. Would an email that includes just the details written work?

2) Does sending an email to [email protected] work as a stand alone itinerary? As in, would it make a new trip or would it needed to be added to one already booked on Concur ?

Answer for Question_1:

No, an official hotel confirmation email is not mandatory. However, TripIt may not automatically recognize

a manually written email, even if it contains all reservation details.

Manually add the hotel reservation in TripIt, including hotel name, dates, address, and confirmation number,

to ensure accurate itinerary details.

Answer for Question_2:

Yes. Forwarding a supported booking confirmation to [email protected] can automatically create a new, standalone TripIt itinerary.

An existing Concur booking is not required.

TripIt may add the reservation to an existing trip if the dates and destination match. Synchronization with

Concur depends on the enabled integration.
