New hotel booking format

Does anyone else absolutely DISLIKE the new 'format' for booking hotels?  SERIOUSLY?   To see the rates available - and if it's "compliant" I have to "click on" the hotel - which takes me to a whole new screen and ONLY that hotel.  I can no longer easily see and COMPARE hotel options.

 

WHO are the people that are deciding to make these changes?  And thinking that the changes being made to the system are good?!?  Anyone who actually BOOKS travel????

 

It's absolutely AWFUL in my opinion.  Anyone else agree?

@LoriL I passed on your post to someone on our Travel Product team. 

 

I will say this, and it is my opinion only...the search results experience should be similar if not exactly the same across the booking process. If I can see flights that aren't compliant on the search results screen, I should see that as well on the hotel results screen. I'm not sure why it is the way it is, but I am for consistency throughout the process. Unfortunately, I am not on the Travel product team. :-(.

Thank you Kevin.  I appreciate it - but don't expect anything to be changed back.  (It would seem to me that any/all changes being made to the Concur booking platform are being made by 'designers' to make it 'pretty' or something (it 'looks' prettier) - but definitely NOT more user friendly to those who use it every day, *MULTIPLE* times a day.    The newest 'change' like that is with where they've moved the "flight time" narrow down option.  (I've submitted a post/comment on it as well.)

Additionally I am not a fan that the Hotel Info / Details link is no longer available on the main results page as well as you can't scroll the property pictures. There are a lot of hotels out there that are out-date or weathered and I would ALWAYS look in the Hotel Info / Details screen for the Year Built and Year Renovated/Updated. Now its luck if you find it on the hotel details page after you click on a single hotel's page. It seems like the wanted to have everything open within and not have additional windows open. I am not a fan, not user friendly or efficient.

The new format for hotels is  a nightmare!  As a company that must follow state statute, this makes it extremely difficult for our travelers to book most economical when research results show hotels that have no way of booking, hotels in other states/countries, and rates that are not even applicable to out travelers. Our travelers must provide comparable rates in most economical order when booking over a certain amount, makes sooooo much work for our travelers trying to book.

So due to another "travel system down" and you may convert back to the old.  We did temporally and the display of hotel rates are Exact and we use Concur for booking violations and we got to see the old screen of showing you what they turned down.  This dropped feature which we are told is not an option only shows that the new configuration was rushed since the old still has the capability and shows proper rates.  We can't teach 80,000 travelers to not believe the rate and click into each hotel, never, ever does a booking engine show a higher rate, it is INSANE!!

I also have this issue. On the hotel list page, the price per night is always lower than when I click on the hotel to select the room type.  Anyone else have the same issue?

Same here...this creates havoc for our travelers who have to provide proof of comparable rates if they exceed our rate by state statute.  Not to mention when we review them and see they selected the one that was cheaper from the screenshot of choices only to see that the actual rate charged was greater than others!   It is a nightmare!

We are now having an issue with our negotiated rates with hotels are not populating for some hotels. Some are higher than our rate and GSA and others are lower than our negotiated rates with hotels. This appeared to start happening yesterday after noon. Any one else having issues with negotiated rates changing or not populating correctly?
