Microsoft Teams Travel Tips

Hello,

Does anyone have any tips or feedback on integrating teams with Concur? I am exploring it now and it's new for our IT team as well. It seems like it's more useful for expense right now based on first impressions. We don't want to roll it out to anyone else until we have a grasp on it but I'm curious about the trip sharing.

I plan/book all trips for my CRO and typically send him flight options via teams through screenshots, or in typed messages. If I could forward him a neat itinerary view that is linked to Concur so he could click on it and it take him to the trip page in Concur, that would be my end goal. Does anyone know if this is possible? I know eventually users will be able to book trips completely within teams and the use of Joule but we are not exploring that as an organization yet.

Thanks!

@lwelsh I don't know about sending a linked itinerary that would take him into SAP Concur, but if you are booking travel for him, he should be receiving itineraries via email and those should even populate onto his calendar.

One question for you...does your company use Single Sign On? If so, I don't believe Teams currently supports accessing SAP Concur if you use SSO.

Thank you,

Hey Kevin,
He does receive them via outlook and email. I'm excited about the possibilities to come with the advancements of teams integration.

We do use SSO and when attempting to sign in via teams when I first installed it, I was not able to login through our single sign on. I deleted the SAP Concur app within teams, signed into my Concur account via desktop, and then reinstalled the app. I then got the prompt through teams to login. This time however, I was asked to agree to terms, directed to a pop up, and our SSO worked. I then was able to use it with ease.

The only hiccup we cannot figure out is when using the teams prompt "enable/disable notifications" I receive a message back saying can't connect to server. All other prompts work.
