Has anyone noticed when booking hotels if the "destination fee" some hotels are charging is noted prior to booking? Or is this something that is considered under "taxes and fees" and you don't know until you get your final room invoice?

@jdisney I think it might depend on the hotel, but seems like in their description of room rate and other included items with the room, it would be mentioned. I'm not sure if they are required to divulge this, but I think they might be and cannot just charge their customers without any prior notice.

It should be included as part of the estimated total including taxes and fees. Concur should be showing you a breakdown of the taxes and fees when you click on the rules and cancellation policy. If there turns out to be some additional fee that was not declared, I would contact your travel agency so that they can dispute it for you and/or they can file a complaint with the GDS to get the information updated.
