Concur Travel Booking Limitation for Avis Preferred Members at Specific Airports

Good morning,

Issue Overview:

Certain airports with multiple terminals require a flight number for Avis Preferred members to:

- Determine arrival terminal

- Provide Expedited Service

- Ensure Preferred Service is ready at the correct terminal

Affected Locations:

- Mexico City (MEX) Airport: All clients

- Specific Airports for Avis Preferred Members:

  1. 1. Cincinnati (CVG)
  2. 2. Orlando (MCO)
  3. 3. Phoenix (PHX)
  4. 4. San Jose (SJC)
  5. 5. Tampa (TPA)

Current Booking Limitation:

- Concur Travel only allows flight number entry in format AANNNN (e.g., UA1234)

- No option for non-flying travelers

- Clients cannot book without:

  1. a) Entering a fictitious flight number
  2. b) Removing Avis Preferred number
  3. c) Booking directly through Avis

Desired Solution:

- Add dropdown options similar to Avis website:

  1) Not Flying

  2) Not Listed

- Allow alpha entry for specific scenarios

Current Status:

- Ticket opened with Concur months ago

- Concur suggests it's an Avis issue and closing the ticketAvis Flight Info OptionsAvis Flight Info OptionsAvis Preferred - Airports w/multiple terminal locationsAvis Preferred - Airports w/multiple terminal locations

- No resolution to date

Seeking potential workarounds to book airport car rentals without using fictitious flight numbers

Thanks for your help & suggestions

@patriziag what is your Concur Support Case number?

I had a colleague tell me this isn't expected behavior.

Thank you,
