Concur Request and Travel

Hello everyone

we have concur request separate from Concur travel, when the travel request is approved the user will book his travel.

our GBT added a custom field for the user to add the request ID, and they can pass and complete the booking.

the issue we have is there is no validation the concur request id is approved.

we had some cases where the request was rejected and users was still able to book a trip in the online booking tool.

is there an option to validate with an audit rule that the request id is approved before we allow the user to book?

appreciate your advice

Orit

hello @Orit_Dor

I haven’t tested it. But one option could be to configure and create Custom Audit Rules that validate conditions before allowing actions.
You can create a rule that checks if the field “Request Status” = Approved when the user enters the Request ID.
If the condition is not met, a message is displayed and the action is blocked.

@Orit_Dor I don't believe this is possible. What many companies that use Travel and Request do is link them and use the Approve then Book process. This requires that a Request be approved first, then the booking can happen. It might be something to consider.

The way you currently have it, the Travel Agency has no idea if the Request is approved and there isn't any way for them to check it unless you give them Authorization Request Administrator permission.

Thank you,
