Booking air with new UI

The new interface for booking flights is awful. Just awful.

I DO NOT need:

• "Best flights for you"  These suggestions are completely irrelevant.
• Emissions information.  There are many factors to be met in choosing transportation to a business activity; never has CO2 been one of them.  Put the seat map back in place of  emissions data (see below).
• Flights sorted as "recommended" as the default.  Departure time was a reasonable default sort.

I DO need:

• The option to view the flight seat map without having to click on a flight first.
• A flight seat map that differentiates between preferred and regular economy seating.  This information isn't even revealed when you are asked to choose seats during the finals steps of booking.  Totally unacceptable.

At this point, I've only had to search for domestic flights.  I totally dread having to piece together a multi-city international itinerary.  If the goal was to make us use our affiliated travel agency, you have likely succeeded.

You have hit the nail on the head here.  I often wonder if developers are actually speaking to travelers and travel managers when deciding on "enhancements" because there is little to no benefit with this new UI.  I look like the fool since I pumped this up and told everyone how wonderful it was going to be.  Looking forward to attending Concur Fusion in March to share my thoughts.
