Hi @Chandler26

Topic: Booked a flight on Southwest but I didn't have a seat assigned. Will I have a seat?

Please check the below. Hope this helps.

If your Southwest Airlines reservation is confirmed, you have a seat on the flight even if a seat number has not been assigned yet.

Southwest introduced assigned seating for flights beginning January 27, 2026.

If your reservation does not show a seat assignment, check My Trips on Southwest's Website or App.

Your seat may be assigned during check-in or by a gate agent, depending on your fare and booking circumstances.

Southwest confirms that passengers without advance seat selection are assigned seats at check-in (24 hours before departure), or at the gate if necessary.

A confirmed reservation without a seat number is normal. It is not, by itself, a standby booking.

You can verify your reservation at Southwest Airlines

Thanks & Regards
