Book one room, but system books two

Hi

I have just booked one room for one night at a hotel, but when the booking was confirmed it came through as two rooms. One booked as expected but another mysterious booking for the same hotel appears, doubling the cost.

It has a similar confirmation number - just two extra letters (P > PIN) but the status says 'Not purchased through the reservation system'. I have not booked any other rooms in any other way - I didn't even reserve a room, cancel and then go back in.

I contacted the travel centre and they advised to just cancel and start again, which I did, but when booking again it does the same. I booked one room, but the confirmed booking has 2 rooms. The itinerary received via email only has one room but I don't want to get to the hotel and they charge me for the extra room.

Any advice please?

Hannah

@MissH since this happened twice, what I would suggest is calling the hotel directly and making sure the second room is canceled. They also might be able to tell you the booking source for the second room. I've worked at SAP Concur over 17 years and this is the first time I have had someone report this. 🙂

Thank you,

Thankyou Kevin, I will speak with them and call the main business support desk tomorrow as I still need a booking for 2 days time!
