Urgent Request Notifications for Processors and Approvers

I understand that Processors do not receive automated notifications in Concur for Purchase Requests, Invoices, or Expense Claims, due to the potential volume of emails this could generate.
However, it would be beneficial to have a mechanism whereby an approver or Processor can be alerted in scenarios where a Purchase Request requires urgent attention in Concur Invoice.
Currently, the only way a Processor becomes aware of such items is when they review their queue, which may introduce delays for time-sensitive requests.

Q - How will processor know which PR or Invoice would need urgent attention? 

Workaround - 

We need some identifier for such requests such as a custom field to capture (urgent attention - Yes/No) and if selected yes then send email notification to review the same. 

With this same identifier we can also create separate approval / review queue in processor screen to filter such PR/Invoices.

@Fitchke could you describe what qualifies as "Urgent"? I have an idea that could work, but need more details.
