Raising Request for Quotation from Purchase Request

Hello,

I'm looking for an option of Raising Request for Quotation from Purchase Requests. Similar to purchase orders raised on the basis of approved purchase requests would it be possible to set up a configuration to generate requests for quotations from purchase requests? For the sake of efficiency and saving time.

Should you require more details, please let me know.

Many thank for your reply!

@Vlad Request for Quotation isn't something that can be created from an approved purchase request. At least I've not seen or heard of it being done in Concur Invoice.

Thank you,
Kevin

Hi Kevin, thanks for your reply. Yes, I know, it cannot be created from an (un)approved purchase request now. Any chance this functionality can be developed? Thank you.

Hi

Topic: Raising Request for Quotation from Purchase Request

Please check the below. Hope this helps.

-----

This an SAP Concur Purchase Request → Request for Quotation (RFQ) functionality question.

SAP Concur Purchase Request does not provide a standard configuration option to automatically generate RFQs from approved Purchase Requests, similar to creating Purchase Orders.

Recommended solutions — step by step

  1. Create Purchase Request: Navigate to Concur → Purchase Request and submit the request for approval.
  2. Approve Request: Complete the configured approval workflow.
  3. Integrate with Procurement: Transfer the approved request data to SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement or another sourcing platform.
  4. Create RFQ: Generate the RFQ in the procurement system using the transferred purchasing requirements.
  5. Invite Suppliers: Distribute the RFQ and collect quotations.
  6. Evaluate Quotations: Compare supplier prices and terms.
  7. Create Purchase Order: Convert the selected quotation into a PO using the supported procurement workflow.

Important: This is a proposed integration solution, not an out-of-the-box Concur workflow.

The integration and RFQ creation process would require technical design and validation.

Thanks & Regards
