Moving from an Existing Instance of Concur to a New Instance to implement Concur Travel

We are thinking of moving from our existing platform to a new platform to implement Concur Travel. Has anybody had experience with this.

Any information would be extremely helpful.

Couldn't you just add SAP Concur Travel to your current instance of SAP Concur? That might be easier and more cost effective.

Why are you considering a whole new instance of SAP Concur?

We have a global instance and one of our group companies signed an indirect deal with their TMC and our preference is direct. According to Concur we can't have both indirect or direct. It has to be one or the other.

That sounds like a sticky situation. With the one company signing an indirect deal, are they going to stay on that instance of SAP Concur while the rest of the organization goes to a different instance that has Direct Travel?

I asked someone in implementation about this and she said that she has heard of our clients doing a "spin-off" which should give you a new instance based off of your current instance. I don't know any other details, but if you ask your Concur Account Manager/Client Success Manager, they should be able to give you more details.

Concur allows multiple TMCs to be on the same instance of Concur.  However, in this scenario, one TMC must be direct and the other's indirect which sounds like the specific situation that you're in.  The only issue is that the TMC with the direct relationship must grant the TMC with the indirect relationship the ability to build on top of their configurations.
