Limiting Proxy Access

Is it possible to keep proxy users from being able to proxy in as each other? Also, I do not see where a proxy user shows up when they're using someone's account to make changes. Reading over the forum, I understand that letting people make changes using proxy user access is not recommended, but there are concerns about anyone having this access as it seems to make their activity untraceable. 

Just curious.

@Bobby_S the people proxying in, what are their reasons for accessing someone else's account? Are they doing approvals or expense reports for others? 

What types of changes are these people making? 

P.S. you cannot prevent a proxy from accessing certain profiles. The only way is to remove the Proxy permission which would not allow them to access anyone's account.

They are correcting expense reports that were submitted and approving them. We have hundreds of people submitting reports, so using delegate for the few people we have managing the pool of reports would be untenable for our size. 

Is there some way to make someone a delegate for an entire group instead of having to add them user by user to hundreds of users? 

Also, is there no tracking of proxy activity?
