Japan e-Bunsho

Hello,

Any feedback out there regarding the Japan e-Bunsho timestamp feature? My team has a request to enable this feature in order to transition from collecting paper receipts. However, it seems unreasonably aggressive in its receipt requirements as required from the Japan local government. My concern is that this will increase after hours support calls to us specifically for the Mobile app which is particularly difficult to troubleshoot.

The feature increases the default resolution in the mobile app's camera function to comply with a 4mpix requirement. The increase in resolution does not seem to replicate to all of the phones we have in the field with the Cncur mobile app. As a result, they don't receive the timestamp unless the receipt is taken in the factory-included camera app and uploaded from there vs the camera app within the Concur Mobile app.

If a report with a timestamped receipt is submitted and returned, the receipt cannot be detached or deleted which introduces another set of headaches. Only deleting the whole report or adding a fake transaction for $0 to carry the corrected receipt back to the submitted workflow is the workaround.

When I look at these requirements holistically, I cannot figure out why they are so aggressive. If the intent is to manage fraudulent/fake receipts by increasing the receipt resolution and then hard-locking the receipt into the report. I don't see how this is difficult to cheat with Photoshop.
