Exporting Expenses by Expense Type - NOT full Reports

How do you run a report that you export to excel that includes only certain expense types?

When I create and run my own query (for example including expense types 'airfare' 'rail' 'taxi' ) it only gives me a list of entire reports that have been submitted that include one or more expenses pertaining to the categories that I have specified in the query. This results in me having to click into each report to manually look into which expenses are relevant.

Can I export a list of individual expenses rather than the full reports?

@hollychipman from what you posted, it sounds like you are trying to run a report from Cognos, correct? If I had to guess, you are pulling your data from the Expense area of the data warehouse. I would suggest going into the Configuration folder of the data warehouse. I believe you can see pull the Expense Type data item from there to see a list of expense types. Give that a try and let me know if it works for you.

Thank you,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your response. No I do not have Cognos. I am just trying to run from the Expense part of normal Concur. Is Cognos a prerequisite to be able to run exports in this level of detail?

Thanks,

Holly

@hollychipman You may want to check out some SAP Concur applications, such as this one: http://www.concur.com/app-center/listings/5fe0ffd285cb430015497f5b
