@FredR Great question. The answer is Yes. External Validation is a workflow step incorporated by your company and this step actually happens outside of the SAP Concur system, so it does prolong the approval workflow. I don't know what your company's turnaround time is for external validations. At this point, there isn't anything you can do but wait for the validation to happen.
