Claim amount Check as per the transaction date and promotion date

Hi All,

 

Need one help with one of the expense type which when used by the employee should validate the transaction date and the promotion date of the employee since the amount limit is set as per the designation of the employees. And employee should not be able to claim the amount assigned to higher designation if the transaction date is before the promotion date.

This validation can only build in case promotion date field is considered in form either in employee profile or expense header or expense entry form. If promotion date is not available in any of the mentioned form, then you won't be able to compare or validate whether transaction date is before or after promotion date as there is no field considered for this comparison. 

 

Can you please check configuration and confirm. Also, if field is already considered and added in form then provide screenshot and form name, so that it will be easy to respond to your query.

We are still under discussion on the design and we were thinking of using promotion date at expense entry form but we were not able to connect it with the audit rule. Any idea how the rule can be created?

You can create audit rule as shown below for before and after promotion limits.
