BYOD (Bring your own device) - Best Practice. Wondering how your companies handle BYOD employee reimbursement? Stipend or actual amount of mobile reimbursement? If a stipend how did you determine your stipend amount? If you reimburse actual amount due, do you review all mobile calculations submitted are correct? Tax implications to the employee?
We process the mobile stipend through payroll, so that it shows up correctly in their taxes. There were discussions to process through Concur, but ultimately, the stipend through payroll made more sense for us.
