Unable to see submitted reports

I sat side by side with 4 of my employees and we submitted their expense reports. I received 2 of them to approve, but did not receive the last 2. I had them recall and resubmit. They still are not coming to me. What should I check or do?

The 3rd one came in 3 hours after submission and I was able to approve. Maybe patience is a virtue.. Now still waiting for the final one to come to me.

@sguerino it should not take that long to appear in your approval queue. Are you receiving the approval notification email at the same time it appears in your queue or is the email notification coming in sooner? 

When a user submits, it should almost instantaneously appear in your approval queue.
