My SAP Concur app on my Android mobile phone crashes on startup

My SAP Concur App crashes every time I start it up. This only started last week. I have uninstalled it several times, cleared my Cache, downloaded the latest Android software version and nothing seems to help. I used to get a message after trying a couple of times that said this App has a bug in it Try downloading the latest version once the bug has been fixed. According to the Google Play store, I am running the latest version.

Hello folks, it appears that the issue (for my phone at least) has been resolved and as you all were experiencing the same issue I hope this has resolved yours as well.

Hi All,

Thank you for your patience on this.

A hotfix has been added to the Android app version 10.21.1.

Currently, this app version was released at 20% and should address the crash issue.

Some of you might not be able to see this version yet in the Google app store, however, once available, kindly update to this 10.21.1 app version and test again.

 

Let me know the result of your testing..

AnnaDizo, I am still unable to see app version 10.21.1 in the Android PlayStore.
When will this be available to all ?

Our Engineering team continue to notice crashes and released another hotfix on Concur app version 10.21.3 for Android.

If you can kindly uninstall and reinstall to this new app version and test again.

 

We do apologize for this inconvenience and know that our team is doing their best to  create the best fix for the issue.

 

In case, after updating to 10.21.3 and you are still experiencing crash, kindly respond and let us know where specifically the crash is happening? (during app launch, while logging in etc..)  and if you can share a screenshot of any prompt/error after the crash would be helpful.

@AnnaDizo thanks for the update. Yesterday when talking with support I was informed that the 10.21.0 was still the  official release.
Is 10.21.3 an official release ? and does this status affect the availability of the app version in the playstore ?
I personally can see 10.21.3 on my own phone. 9 of my MDM managed devices are now on 10.21.3
However I still have 40+ devices on 10.21.0 and 12 devices on 10.21.2

When will these devices see the update as available ?

I have  2 users who show as having version 10.21.3 (updated yesterday 4th June) in my Intune MDM.
They are reporting crashes still:
"When I go onto the app , it will be a second of the app to look like it is going to open and
  then it closes  it only shows the SAP Concur icon all the time , it won’t open the app at all."

If it would be okay if we can try to wipe the Concur mobile app data and test again?

 

Kindly follow instruction below:

1.  On your Android device, go to "Settings"
2. Scroll down and select "Apps" (this may be Applications or Apps & Notifications depending on your Android make & model)
3. Scroll through your list of apps and select SAP Concur mobile  app
4. Tap Storage or Storage & Cache

5. Tap Clear Cache

 

After clearing the cache, uninstall/reinstall the app and try again.

 

Kindly let me know of the result.

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with the app on Android 15. Despite reinstalling it, the app still doesn't work. I noticed that the topic has been marked as resolved in the forum, but unfortunately, this is not the case — we still don't have a working solution.

Could you please provide an update or any workaround that might help? This issue is affecting usability, and we would appreciate any assistance.

Sorry to hear that your Users are still experiencing the app crash on Android.

Our most updated Concur mobile app version 10.22 has been released fully released on Android devices.

 

Kindly ask the affected Users to update their Concur mobile app to this latest version and test again?

Hi Anna! 

I have the 10.22 version and it's still not working. When I try to load it, it just freezes my phone, sometimes it just turns my screen completely black. I've already cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but it seems to keep freezing/crashing.

 

I have a Samsung Note 10+, Android version 12, One UI version 4.1. I downloaded the app from google play store.

Hi Anna,

Thank you for your prompt response.

Unfortunately, I have done that 3 times now, and it is still not loading on my phone. When I try to open the app this is my screen on the phone (please refer to the photo). It stays like this for 5-10 seconds and then closes. Any other insight you could provide? Is there an update to the app that'll fix this problem shortly?

We are now seeing 10.22.0 rolling out.
This along with uninstall & reinstall seems to have resolved issues on individuals devices.

Hello! I'm wondering if you did anything differently? 

Just this week, I've cleared the cache as instructed above, and uninstalled/reinstalled about 5 times and the app is still not working. I'm accessing concur on my laptop for now, which is fine, but would be nice to have access on the app again.
