Mileage calculator for approver

Dear Experts,

mileage calculator tool is available for the approver but is not working proprely as you can see here (sorry for pc photo but if i would like to make print screen the icon of prohibition disappear):

the approver cannot insert a departure and arrival location to double check the mileage calculation inserted by traveler.

Could you please help me to better understand why we cannot configure the visibility of the mileage calculator tool for the approver? For the traveler is required.

@ClaudiaCiocca from the Approver's view, the distance entered is locked by system design. Otherwise, if approvers were entering waypoints, the system would think the approver is possibly trying to change/edit the entered mileage. Approvers will be able to see the route though when approving using the Mileage Calculator.
