Is it possible to assign delegates on behalf of others as the site admin?

We have not used the delegate function previously, but we are looking to role it out for a few of the senior team.

 

From what I understand reading other posts about the delegate function, individual employees are able to select users to be delegates on their behalf.  But my question is as an admin am I able to configure this, either directly in the site or via a profile upload.  

I wasn't able to see an option on the Employee Template to assign delegates.

Hello @OwenTakoor thank you for posting your question on SAP Concur Community.  Yes, administrators can assign delegates on behalf of users in Concur, but this capability depends on having the appropriate administrative roles and permissions. See information below regarding how to do this in the UI and what permission is required. This can also be done via the 550 import for bulk assignment if needed.

 

Admin Permission Requirements

Administrators can assign delegates for other users if they have specific roles:

  • Employee Maintenance role
  • Employee Administrator role

These roles provide the necessary permissions to manage delegate assignments on behalf of other users.

 

Step-by-Step Process for Admin Assignment

  1. Access User Administration: Navigate to the user administration section with your administrative credentials
  2. Select User: Locate the user for whom you want to assign a delegate
  3. Navigate to Delegate Settings: Access the delegate configuration area for that specific user
  4. Add Delegate: Follow the same process as end-users would:
    • Search for the delegate by name, email, or employee ID
    • Select the appropriate person from the search results
    • Configure permissions (Can Prepare, Can Submit, Can Approve, etc.)
  5. Save Configuration: Confirm the delegate assignment
