Incorrect Hertz rental charges, cancelled Citi card, and lingering issues

Hello,

I rented a car from Hertz back in May 2025 for a business trip from Wilmington, NC, to Manassas, VA.  They put a charge on my Citi business card for $334.24, this included the expected charge of $134.24 plus a $200 hold.  When I returned the car, they credited my account the $200, but I also have a pending charge for the $134.24.  I tried to get this fixed for a few months but didn't make any progress.  I eventually dropped the $134.24 charge off my expense report and submitted it.  Now I still have that $134.24 and a $9.07 late fee on my account.  Plus my Citi business card has been cancelled due to none payment.  What can I do?

@LupinBandit hello there. I took a look at your expense reports and you did what you were supposed to in regards to the Hertz charge. They charged you $334. 24, but then credited you $200, so the total you actually paid was correct. The issue is you waited until November to submit this report, which is why you were behind on payments to the card.

The item sitting in your available expenses is an e-receipt only, not an actual card charge. This isn't causing the late payment fee.

You will need to get all company card charges submitted and late fees paid, then you can call the card issuer to see if you can get the card reinstated.

Thank you,

Thanks for the replay, KevinD.  How do I delete the e-receipt so it doesn't show up in my list of Available Expenses?  The system seems to think I still owe that.  My credit card status shows I have a current balance of -$162.47, now that the expenses have been paid.  I'm not sure how it got to that.  And I have the $9.07 overdue fee still in my Available Expenses.  I'm not sure what to do from here.  I've tried paying the $9.07 but with the account closed, that's difficult.
