Expense Manager Update

Is there a process or import template to update the Expense manager without having to run the 305 file?

@kgilliam-apex are you making changes to a large number of Expense managers/approvers?

Yes, I'm making changes to a large number of managers.

@kgilliam-apex I'm not sure if there is another file other than the 305 you can use to update default approvers/managers. We have several import templates, but I'm not sure if there is another that would achieve what you need. All of our import templates are quite similar, so no matter which template is used, the process is pretty much the same.

For the 305 template, can I just update the manager without updating the other fields. I just want to focus on changing the manager.

@kgilliam-apex do you know if you are doing any type of HR feed into SAP Concur? I'm asking because if you do, then it would overwrite any changes you would make with doing an import.

If you aren't doing an HR feed, then here is what you can do. My implementation contact shared it with me. Instead of filling out all the required fields on the 305 file, which you would have to do, you can use the Import option from the User Administration screen (see first screenshot). Simply download the template, remove all the columns you don't need (see third screenshot). Fill out the fields, then you can upload that data. This import template allows for updating already existing profiles, it cannot create new profiles. It also has a maximum of 1000 records it can edit. So, if you have to change more than 1000 users, you would need to make a copy of the file, update the file with the new user information, then upload that copy.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
