Delegation Access Setup - Approval Notification

Hello, 

 

As an administrator, I have the ability to setup delegation access for other approver/users when they are out of the office. 

 

I want to setup a temporary delegation access and receive approval email notification (only for during the timeframe of the temporary delegation). Which are the applicable boxes below that need to be checked?

Can PrepareCan Submit ReportsCan View ReceiptsReceives EmailsCan ApproveCan Approve TemporaryReceives Approval Emails

 

My confusion is that there is an article stating that if the "Receives Approval Emails" box is check, the delegate will always receive approval emails. And that's not what we want. Please advise!

Hi @Hong_Phuong ,

 

You must be talking about below article. Yes, I agree to you that this statement is bit confusing.

However, you can think in this way, like:

  • If you want delegate to receive approval email notification for the temporary time period and if "receive approval email" checkbox is checked, then only for that particular time period delegate will receive approval email notification.
  • Once temporary time period is over and if you don't want delegate to receive approval emails then you must uncheck "receive approval email" checkbox. If you don't uncheck checkbox then delegate will keep on receiving approval emails.
