Delegate vs Expense User role

Hello,

We have a case below:

User A is a delegate for User B.

User A does not have Expense User role as he is a contractor, only acts as other users.

When we enable 'Receives emails' under the delegate section for this delegate, will he receive notifications with Expense Report status changes? Or maybe the Expense User flag is necessary..

You need to set the USER A (Contractor) as Expense User, if you don't assign an approver the Contractor can't submit any report if this is your concern.

There are two relevant options related to send emails (Receives Emails and Receives Approval Emails) if you click on Receives Emails the Delegate will receive the emails that will also be send to the end user

Thanks for your response.

The question is purely about the notifications.

So the user A (contractor) do not have User role by default, he only submits on other people's behalf, so will he receive the notification of the end user or not? He submits the report on behalf of user B and does have 'Receives e-mails' checked.

Question is, is the Expense User role anyhow needed to receive notifications on statuses of delegator reports if the Delegate setup is done correctly.

Hi @JulaM 

If setup is done correctly, then the contractor will receive the notifications, no matter what information you find always on a daily basis we need to test the implementation/changes we do on the system, for this you can also recreate the situation with test users using your email for those test.
