Creation of audit rule impossible on field From Location and To Location

I am looking to create an audit rule on fields "From location" and "To Location" (city of departure / city of arrival)

Both cities should be different to submit the report.
I do not find these fields on the list in the entry level.

Please can you help?

Hi @AlineMONTAIN ,

Unfortunately, the “From Location” and “To Location” fields are not available in audit rules. According to the support article below, Concur has intentionally kept these fields inaccessible within the configuration. This is by design.

Hi @AlineMONTAIN ,

Based on the support articles shared earlier, it is not technically feasible to create an audit rule for the “From Location” and “To Location” fields, as these data objects are not available in the audit rule section for defining conditions.

However, if you plan to use custom text fields to capture the “From Location” (Custom 15) and “To Location” (Custom 16), as suggested by @KevinD , then you can configure an audit rule condition as shown below.

This condition essentially checks whether the “From Location” and “To Location” are the same. If they match, the rule will trigger a hard stop message.

Note - Please refer to Kevin’s earlier response, where he pointed out the Custom 15 – Departure Airport and Custom 16 – Arrival Airport fields in your company’s Concur setup.

Hi @AlineMONTAIN ,

Could you please share a screenshot of the expense entry form showing the “From Location” and “To Location” fields (city of departure / city of arrival)?

Also, kindly confirm whether these are standard fields or custom fields.

Once we review the screenshot, we can determine whether creating an audit rule is feasible.

Thanks!

@AlineMONTAIN in looking at your setup, I see something you might want to look into. If you look under Expense Entry as your form and click on the Fields tab, you will see Custom 15 - Departure Airport and Custom 16 - Arrival Airport.

Is there a reason why you couldn't use the Custom 15 and Custom 16 fields? This way you could create your audit rule to not allow for someone entering the same city in each.

The other option is two create two other custom fields for City of Departure and City of Arrival. I would name them something different though, like Departure City and Arrival City. If you make these fields Text entry, the one thing to keep in mind for the audit rule is misspellings of the same city. So, lets say someone typed Lyon in the Departure City field and then Lion in the Arrival City, the rule might not catch it. Just something to consider.

Thank you,
Kevin

Hello,

Thank you for this reply.

Users put the same city on "from location" and "to location" for example "Lyon" and "Lyon"

Do you know how we can avoid?
