Company Billed Statements (CBS) Report Submission Setting

Currently, we allow users to submit statement reports 3 days after the statement period ends. I want to change this setting to 2 days for the last statement period of the fiscal year so users can submit expense reports faster.  

Do other organizations allow statement reports to be submitted after two days, or 1 day, or adjust this timeframe specifically around fiscal year-end?  Are there any negatives to shortening this time frame?

@ewilkins keep in mind that it usually takes on average three business days for card charges to appear in SAP Concur, so if people use their card near the end of the month, you run the risk of having unsubmitted transactions because the two day time period has elapsed.
