In SAP Concur, “Pending Audit Review” means your expense report is awaiting or undergoing an audit check.
It does not mean you submitted anything incorrectly. A delayed audit does not indicate an error.
Even when an Expense Report is submitted correctly, it may remain in Pending Audit Review due to:
- Audit Rules: The report triggered a company-specific audit condition.
- Audit Queue: A high volume of reports may delay processing.
- Auditor Availability: Staffing levels and workload can delay processing.
- Random Audit Selection: Your report may have been selected for additional review.
- External Audit Provider: If your company uses an audit service, the report may be waiting in its review queue.
- High-Value Expenses: Certain amounts may require additional verification.
- Duplicate Detection: Concur may flag potentially duplicate transactions.
- Corporate Card Reconciliation: Card charges or refunds may require review.
- Policy Validation: Expenses may require verification against company policies.
- Receipt Verification: Receipts, amounts, dates, or expense categories may need further review.
- Manual Review: An auditor may need to verify certain transactions before releasing the report.
- Weekend/Holiday Delays: Audit teams may process reports only during business hours.
If the report has exceeded the usual 1–2 days, contact your Company's Expense Processor, Finance Team
or Concur Administrator. They can investigate the Audit Queue and determine whether any action is required.
