Attendee Import Error

Hi There,  

I have downloaded the template and I am getting an error when uploading it.  I have filled in all the required fields and other than that have not messed with the template.  There are 12 attendees listed.   The error message reads "Error: The value in this field is invalid: AtnTypeKey".  Super frustrating.

@clavoss8 in your template, replace Business Guest with BUSGUEST. That is the business guest attendee type code. See if that fixes the issue. Let me know if it works. 🙂

Thanks for your reply. The import template that is provided has a drop-down list that forces you to choose “ Business Guest”.  Based on another thread on the same topic, but from 2023, I had already tried your recommendation to change those fields to “BUSGUEST” and it did not work either.  I feel like Concur should be sure that their inbuilt solutions work properly.  Can anyone confirm if the built-in downloadable template is working for them?

Hi @clavoss8, Here's a screenshot of a successful import of a Business Guest from the template available from within an expense report attendee tab.

Note you must keep both tabs, only complete the first one. Do not delete the first two rows. Attendee Type must = "Name" from AtnTypeKey tab.

Keep the file saved as .xls, and dont' change the file name.

This should work for you.

Thanks for your input.  I'm not sure how much a difference this makes, but the template you show in the screenshot is not exactly the same as the current one that is available to download.  The current one looks like the below screenshot.  It has hidden tabs.  Also, when I unhide the 2nd tab...it also is different than the one you are showing.  I have a feeling the current template might be broken?  I also just redownloaded again to be sure and ran another test and you can see it is still not working.
