Amending expense parents when they are in use

Our Finance team have asked for us to amend the Parent list for our expenses as we have found there are 2 parents with the same number (only 1 used so far and now we want to use the other one). The current list has been set up and used for a few months now. Are we able to change this list? and are there are any issues with amending this after it has been used?

@CHill_FI I'm asking a colleague about this to make sure I get the correct answer. 

Also, in your "To Be" list you have the number 13 twice and Relocation twice. I think maybe you didn't want it this way. 🙂

Would you consider keeping Cash Advance as 11. Cash Advance and make 09 Other be 13 Other? That way you are only changing one of the parents. Well, I guess you would be changing two items since you want Accounting Use Only changed to Finance Use.

@CHill_FI I'm back. My colleague confirmed that you can simply rename these parent expense types. It's just a name. 

Once changed, I don't know if the Parent column on the Expense Types screen will update. You may need to navigate away from the screen and come back.
