Accounting Administration

Hi

I'm building our ledger for S/4HANA (currently not used yet). I mistakenly picked a wrong list in the accounts code tab, how can I delete it?

I can only see remove button in the accounting structure tab which will delete my entire ledger and needs to be rebuilt.

is it possible to remove the list only from this screen?

Hi,

You’ll need to submit a ticket to SAP Concur for this, as only they can make the change.

Let me know if you need help with the process!

Hi @jhennyturgano ,

Technically it is not feasible to delete hierarchy line item. Attaching similar Concur support artilce for your further reference:

Alternatively, you can try below workaround:

In wrong hierarchy item update some dummy account code for expense types such as "WRONGACCOUTLIST"

Now create audit rule as shown below:

Event - Report Submit

Exception level - 99

Trigger Error Msg - Incorrect account code. Please select correct expense type. (Modify msg as per your requirement)

With this, even if user mistakenly select that above given wrong hierarchy item, user won't be able to submit their expense reports until they correct it. If needed, you can give 1 liner suggestion or msg to the users what needs to be selected to resolve that error msg.

If this answers your query, then please mark solution as accepted.

Thanks!
Regards,
Pooja

@jhennyturgano I don't see the list you have highlighted in your screenshot, so I'll take that as you resolved the issue. Is that correct? If so, what was the solution? That way others in the future with the same issue can find the answer.

Thank you,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for checking this out.

Yes, I figured that the only way to delete the hierarchy item is to delete the related item from the list management. Fortunately, the list I used was a standard concur list that we do not use in the company.

If the list is actively in use, deleting list item is not an option, just leave the hierarchy item with no ledger account and the system will automatically go to the next hierarchy level.
